Mentoring Program¶
Time: 30 hours (over 7 months) Rate: R400
Responsibilities: - Come alongside the teacher to support, advise and guide with, inter alia, pacing, sequencing, subject matter, pedagogy in relation to the IEB approach, standards and assessment requirements for Grade 12. - Share resources e.g. online masterclasses, tips and tricks, learning materials, tests/exams/ tasks, presentations. - Moderate the marking of formal assessments (and the setting where applicable) to enable the correct standards and reliable evaluation of learner preparedness for the IEB examination. - Create opportunities for teachers to observe mentors in their classrooms, where applicable - Support preparation for SBA, CAT, PAT and Oral moderation in October.
Additionally you may be requested to participate in extra lessons and winter school. - The learners will be attending extra lessons in the week and on Saturdays for the duration of the second term. - A winter school will be held from 24 – 28 June.
